"The Living Wife" is a 2011 short story by Emily Milner. The story is about Zina, a plain woman who has the ability to see and hear ghosts. She accepts an unexpected marriage proposal from a man named Nathaniel, but when she goes home with him after their wedding, she discovers that he is a widower twice over, and his first two wives are still haunting the house.
